I had great value for my money, especially staying in an upgraded room that felt spacious and comfortable.
Breakfast delights could be improved with more hot options.

Unbeatable location just a short walk away from a preserved railway. Neat and immaculate room with brilliant bathroom.

The hotel has a great location, just a stone's throw from the beautiful Beamish Museum, making it super convenient for sightseeing. Parking was easy to find, and I loved that I could bring my dog along, who was really well treated with a cozy bed and special treats. The staff were friendly, making the check-in process smooth.
The room was outdated and pretty shabby, definitely not worth the price tag! The cleanliness was lacking, with worn carpets and not-so-fresh linens. Breakfast was a flop too; the full English was very basic, and I honestly wouldn’t pay for it if it wasn't included. I was disappointed and expected a lot more for my money!

Decent base for 1 night. Satisfactory breakfast with a wide range of spicy foods. Pleasant and excellent location, in a picturesque setting. Based really close to the Beamish Open Air Museum and the restaurant.
Quite dark room.

We were meeting up to celebrate four family birthdays and thoroughly enjoyed our stay with you. The service we received was excellent starting off with the receptionist who was very pleasant and informative. We had dinner in your restaurant which was excellent and again, the service was very good. I would not hesitate to stay at your Hotel in the future and will certainly recommend it to all our friends who are interested in visiting Beamish. Thank you again.

The warm staff and superb food made us feel right at home. The pet-friendly room was clean and spacious, with easy access through patio doors. The breakfast was a highlight, and the nearby Beamish Museum was fantastic for family bonding. A few minor issues, like dim lighting, but overall a wonderful experience.

The ability to acces the room from outside via patio doors
Patio doors were great but aditional windows would have allowed us to get air. the room was therefore very stuffy

we had driven up from London to settle our daughter into Newcastle Uni, so being able to drive back just 20 mins from town, to a relaxing spot in the countryside, was just we needed to drown our sorrows! My husband travels alot abroad and found everything he needed in the room and it was all very clean and very stylish. Will be using again when we visit our daughter. Many thanks.

location was main reason why we stayed here
only complaint is that the heating was not on and had to ask three times about it, first time we asked she said it doesnt come on till 4pm, so we went out for dinner and came back expecting it to be on and it wasnt, and in the end ended up with a portable heater an hour later.
